A lot of the time, experimenting with trends is just falling in love with something you said you would never wear.
Take this robe, for example.
The first time I saw the silk robe trend in public was at this douche-filled steakhouse in Dallas. A girl walked in wearing her (very tight & leave nothing to the imagination) Herve Leger dress….and while the dress wasn’t something I could see myself wearing, she did a good job of attempting to class it up with a silk robe layering piece. And while the actual silk robe she was wearing wasn’t something I could see myself wearing, I appreciated that the attempt was there.
Fast forward a couple months….I actually spotted a silk robe that I could see paired with my wardrobe…and I took back everything I had ever said before.
So what is the moral of the story? Talk shit about a trend enough and you might end up eating your words.
